The highway 175 connects the city of Oaxaca with the Pacific coast. At it’s end lays the fishing village Puerto Angel. Benito Juárez, who was born in Oaxaca, let construct the habor and the highway connection to develop the economy of his home-state. Until the 70s wharfed the freighters and loaded agricultural products. But the bigger habor of Salina Cruz made Puerto Angel obsolete and the inhabitants live like in the ancient time from fishing.
