The village of San Agustinillo is a tiny fishing village with 200 inhabitants. Lots of houses are constructed with red bricks, what keeps them cooler inside and look really nicer than some of Zipolites concrete constructions. Beach and sea The beautiful bays with areas protected by offshore rocks invite for
swimming and snorkelling. Accommodation Rooms and apartments in San Agustinillo cost between 80 to 500 pesos, depending on size and furniture. Food and drink A few restaurants offer fresh fish, seafood and mexican specialities. San Agustinillo is a lot quieter than Zipo, all restaurants and bars close at the latest by 10 p.m. This means that you either take a 5 minutes walk over the tiny hill to Mazunte or you spend great moonlighted nights there on the beach. Communication Public phone is available, for Internet you have to visit Mazunte or Zipolite. How to get there? San Agustinillo you reach on foot from Mazunte and from all places around by taxi or camioneta. Last update: 9.8.2004 |
